Producing a TEDx event was a dream come true.

In January 2026, I had the incredible opportunity to produce, direct and edit the TEDx Talk event at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences — one of the most inspiring projects I’ve ever worked on. This was the first official TEDx event hosted by HM, bringing together a diverse group of thinkers, creators and innovators under the theme “Learning for a Responsible Life.” TEDx events are independently organized gatherings in the spirit of TED’s mission to spread ideas worth sharing — combining powerful live talks with the world-renowned TED format to spark curiosity, conversation and connection. On January 23, 2026, a sold-out audience experienced 13 remarkable speakers — students, professors, and external guests — each delivering engaging and thought-provoking talks on topics ranging from personal growth and responsibility to innovation, sustainability and social impact. Working on this project was especially meaningful to me as a long-time follower of TED Talks. For years I’ve been inspired by the depth, clarity and humanity of TED speakers — and producing a TEDx event felt like a dream come true. Seeing the ideas, stories and passions of these speakers come to life on stage was both humbling and exhilarating. A special thank you goes to SoftlifeMedia GmbH for their outstanding technical implementation under the challenging budget conditions typical for a university production. Their technical expertise, from multi-camera setups to seamless live-to-screen coordination, ensured the event ran smoothly and looked amazing. I also want to express my heartfelt thanks to the people who made this possible: Prof. Dr. Klaus Kreulich, Vice President of HM, for his vision and support Prof. Dr. Guy Katz, TEDxHM co-organizer and driving force behind the event Petra Wiese, whose organizational excellence helped bring everything together It was an honour to collaborate with such a dedicated team and to contribute to an event that will continue to inspire many more — both on campus and beyond.
